Can the RAV pay for an AI course?
It can. In Switzerland, the RAV can cover a course as an individual course. The conditions include being entitled to unemployment insurance benefits and the course clearly improving your chances of finding a job, and the RAV decides case by case. For Human Queue Training, the training and the exam are free; what the RAV would cover is the $29 certificate.
Try it: your dates
Pick the day you'd like to start the course, and see the dates that matter for the RAV.
That start is less than 10 days away: pick a later date to apply in time.

The steps
- Talk to your RAV adviser. Take the course description and your quote with you; the page for the RAV prints the quote.
- Apply in time: at least 10 calendar days before the course starts (some cantons, for example Zürich, also only from 3 months before). Each canton has its own form.
- Start only after the written approval. Starting or paying before it risks paying the costs yourself.
- Pay after passing. The certificate is paid online by card; you get the receipt by email.
- Hand in the receipt the way your RAV says, within 3 months of the end of the month you paid in.
What we can and can't promise
We can't promise the RAV will cover it: that's the RAV's decision. You only pay if you pass, and if the RAV says no, it costs you nothing.
